The Journal of the Centro de Direito do Ordenamento, Urbanismo e Ambiente (Centre for Legal Studies on Urban Planning and Environment) ( RevCEDOUA ) has been published every semester since 1998 and has contributed to the scientific enrichment in the legal areas of planning , urbanism and environment through the publication of original texts – either of legal or of transdisciplinary nature - targeted to professionals, researchers or scholars who deal with the legal instruments of planning , urbanism and environment.
The goal of RevCEDOUA is to identify, reflect and propose solutions to problems concerning planning, urbanism and environment with legal and social relevance, by promoting the extending of knowledge boundaries and the legal, social, cultural and technological progress, and to deepen the treatment of these themes also in foreign legal systems.
The RevCEDOUA is open to contributions either by sending original articles, reviews, or case law reviews for publication , or by suggesting topics for future issues .

This journal offers immediate access of its contents, according to the principle of free availabiblity of scientific knowledge which provides a higher level of knowledge democracy at international level.

Guidelines for submission of texts:
Texts should be submitted in duplicate, on paper size A4 and IT supported (Mac or PC)
Each text ought to have the following maximum number of pages (format A4)
Section Doctrine – 20 pages (corresponding to 36 000 characters)
Section Jurisprudence – 10 pages (corresponding to 18 000 characters
Section Reviews – 5 pages (corresponding to 9 000 characters)
Section Dossier – 10 pages (corresponding to 18 000 characters).
The texts for the section Doctrine must have:
An abstract with approximately 100 words
A summary that does not exceed 3 pages (format A4 or 5 400 characters)
Table of contents
One A4 sheet with the author’s signature
The texts should be presented as follows:
Type – Times
Font size – 10
Titles and subtitles written in lower case letters
References in footnotes are to be presented as follows: Last Name, Name, Title of the publication, local, editor, year of publication. In case of journals and /or issues, the date of publication has to be referred.
Remarks should be made in footnotes and in sequential order.
Texts can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.
An academic resume not exceeding five lines, address and telephone contact, fax and email shall accompany the text.
Collaboration with the RevCEDOUA implies the attribution of the following number of copies of the journal in which the text is inserted:
Doctrine Section 2 or 5 (individual or joint papers)
Other section – 2
The Editorial Board does not assume the responsibility of publishing the submitted texts.
The texts published are of author’s full responsibility.
